Whether you enjoy hiking, climbing, cycling, swimming, fishing, playing tennis, cross-country skiing, exploring the beautiful winter landscape on foot or visiting towns, castles and churches, there is certainly every season right for you. In our farm-folder and in our library you will find several hiking suggestions and we also give you tips for an enjoyable day trip.

The nearby towns of Bolzano, Brixen and Klausen offer several famous monuments for culture lovers. Additionally, the towns invite you to do some shopping. The cities can be reached in about 45minutes by bus (hourly).

Walking to the Seiser Alm/Alpe di Siusi
Starting point is our farm from where you walk to Bad Ratzes (approx. 30minutes), you cross a small stream called Frötschbach and by following path number 1 and 1a you reach the mountain hut named Prossliner Schwaige. Turning to the right you go until the next mountain hut called Schlernbodenhütte. By crossing the forest you will reach Bad Ratzes after an exciting downhillwalk.
For experienced hikers a marked path leads from the Prossliner Schwaige to the Saltner Schwaige and from there you reach the Sciliar by following path number 1. From the Sciliar plateau leads path number 4 to the mountain hut Tierser Alpl. From there, following path number 2 you will reach Compatsch where a bus or the cable car brings you back to Siusi.

From our farm you can walk to Siusi. From there the walk takes you past beautiful cottage gardens and an ancient mill, which is still working, to the Pflegerhof in S. Osvaldo. There you can visit a marvellous herbs garden and buy some homemade herbs products. From there you reach thecentre of the small village S. Osvaldo. At the Tschötscherhof, an ancient farm which offers food and drinks, in autumn typical “Törggele-dishes” are offered: barley soup, ravioli, sausage with sauerkraut, Krapfen, chestnuts and of course the new sweet whine.
Holidays without car: A dense network of public transportation allows you to spend a stress-free time. You are therefore best leaving your car where it is and taking the shuttle busses to reach Kastelruth, Seis, Völs and the surrounding villages. The Seiser Alm is best reached with the cable car, which in summer is open daily from 8am to 7pm. The road to the Seiser Alm is closed in the season times from 9am to 5pm.
